Friends, Celebrities, Characters, and Abominations

The Nintendo Wii allows you to create avatars to be used to represent yourself in different games. Using a set of default features that you can select, rotate, scale, and move to try to get as close a representation of yourself as possible.

Here's me before and after my latest haircut. I love giving myself that dumb-looking mouth.

Of course, it's more fun to create strange or interesting characters by using the features in unintended ways.

Many people have done this before me, so I'll just breeze through with some brief explanations of things I tried that I thought worked alright.



My first non-me-mii was Neil Hamburger. The weak-chin and face were OK (though certainly not "OMG THAT'S IT!!!") but using eyebrows to represent his trademark combover doesn't quite work. Hopefully there are others out there who have successfully rendered Mr. Hamburger. I'd love to see it.



I'm not a huge Matrix fan, but I couldn't resist using the slanted/rounded eyebrows as crazy-bug sunglasses. I connected them in the middle using the 'mole' circle thing. Their eyebrows are actually horizontal-slit eyes. Luckily they don't try to blink.


I made the whole Star Trek tng cast, but Geordi was my favorite to create. The visor is actually made of eyebrows with a line-mouth connecting them. I used the "Beauty-Mark" black circle for his mouth, which gives him a cartoonish look, but I like it.


Worf also ended up with the round-mole-mouth, but it was necessary to have two rows of forehead ridges, one eyebrows and one rumpled-mouth. While most of the TNG characters I did were from early-TNG, I gave Worf the ponytail haircut instead of his poofy hair-helmet.


My new favorite is definitely 'butterstik'. With his eyebrow-ears and pig-nostrils-with-mole-in-middle-nose he looks cute. Plus, you can change the eyes or mouth pretty easily to create a whole saturday-morning-cartoon-cast of loveable sassy pandas.


Possibly NSFW Miis
Thinking a bit futher outside of the intended uses, I was able to concoct two characters whose heads sortof look like female and male nude torsos. Sure, it took my roommate's parents a few games of Wii Sports Baseball asking "What IS that?" before they got it, but I think the resemblance is striking.

Sexy is the operative word.

The belly-buttons are moles, the pubic regions are combos of moustaces, beards, and magic.

It's especially eerie when the nipples blink.
