Pumpkin Beer Taste Test 2006

Sucking the Fun Out of Drinking, With Science!

Buffalo Bill's
this is a pumpkin beer, alright
Buffalo Bill's
Buffalo Bill's was a beer I thought was discernibly not good the first time I had it. I felt it had a plastick-y taste and recognized it immedaiately in the 2005 tasting. I was surprised to find, however, that many in the 2005 tasting considered it to be quite good, with noone as viscerally off-put by it as me.

This year however, I felt vindicated when multiple folks commented on it's metallic and bizarre flavor. Some still felt it had a great scent and a very pumpkinny taste. It may be the cilantro of pumpkin beers; one which some love and some hate.
