Pumpkin Beer Taste Test 2006

Sucking the Fun Out of Drinking, With Science!

this is a pumpkin beer, alright
Post Rd
In the 2005 tasting, Post Road was my favorite. I likened it to Newcastle and it became my go-to pumpkin beer. This year, it had some fans, but many found it a slight improvement over the last few, but not much to write home about.

Brewed by Brooklyn Brewery, this beer's reviews seem to mark the time at which pumpkin-beer-weariness began to set in. Kir wondered in her comments if maybe she just doesn't like pumpkin beer. My newcastle comparison doesn't seem to hold-up considering Michelle called it a 'Pale Ale'. We may have also begun showing our lack of the discerning palatte qualifications recommended for running a beer-tasting.
